If you cannot do it yourself, I would suggest contacting Darth Loo-knee or other mechanics here for a price.

In my experience, garages (back street and dealers) do not know how to do these jobs properly - many backstreet dealers will say they can do the cambelt without the locking/timing kit (obviously, you cant)

Hm, was I you I wouild not bugger about I would just get onto DLK or another well recommended oof traveller and have him do it. You could then rest easy knowing that it would be as it was meant to be. Many can talk the talk but limp badly when it comes to the walk bit!
I have used DLK so he is the only one I can comment on but mean no offence to any others who may be just as good. The message is clear enough, not everyone who offers will use the correct parts or have the vital equipment and know how to use it. Its not a matter you can best guess on either because the implications of errors and damage would be costly later.
Thumbs Up!

Think about it for a minute, this place is a minefield of info and I think it's safe to say, successful. Why? Because there are precious few that can work on these cars and not make a bollox of the job. We see enough poor work on here to know back street garages , dealers ESP, and my "mate who used to be a vx mechanic" or whatever really can't be trusted. There's just not enough knowledge generally (on the v engines ESP) in the trade.

So, as said, GET SOMEONE ON HERE TO DO IT.  Thumbs Up!
