Picked up another mig!
08. May 2011 at 05:56

Picked up my long awaited 3.0 yesterday and gave it a thrashing back home from Southampton to Leicester. PERFECT, smooth, silent almost and great readout averages when checked later. Couple of very minor things to do to get the bodywork perfect - the interior already was.
Picked up Kate who bought my old one on the way down as arranged and then we all went to pick up mine. Stopped for 'refreshments' cos we are all 'relocated' geordies on the way and again later after the collection before we went to pick up a trailer Kate had bought before going our seperate ways home. Must ring her today!
So enjoyable a day that we have decided to remain friends and keep in touch.
Worst part about the day was the driving away from the couple I had bought mine from cos they had real  Crytears in their eyes over losing it! Told them I will keep it pristine and also them updated cos it was his dads car but he got too old to drive it safely.
Now to get on with its first clean and polish by me!
Forgot to say its got just on 70k original miles on the clock and the seats, other than the drivers have been sat on under a dozen times. When  I said perfect, perfect is what I meant!  Shocked Grin
Anyone jealous yet?
Biggest problem I had was that my old insurance company (the frikkin COOP ECO) refused to insure it cos it was 3.0 and not another 2.5 so now I am with Performance Direct and its only another 25 quids a year!
Whos a happy fella???????? Thumbs Up!

Surely will cos its a thing to be proud of! Don't know about the 17" allies, Irmischer grille or de-badged look though, jury still out on them.

Nice one Ray, she should serve you well not even run in yet. . .

Can you take control of that extra power?  Grin

Come on Daz, you know me better than that. More power, yep it has a tiddly bit more but I don't think it is as responsive to the pedal as the last one was. I will give it a while to see what happens and if it still don't seem right I will be back to you. Might be the 17 inchers that are on it.
Its definitely nice though so I reckon I did the right thing, I had forgotten what quiet was almost. Cheesy
