You get used to it after driving in the States .. Sad

10-15 mph all the doors lock ... every time. Apparently an attempt to stop both carjacking and idiots stepping out of moving cars !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a "crash switch" - inertia activated - that is probably linked to seatbelt pre-tensioners - to ensure they unlock in the event of a mishap ..

May 2011 at 10:26 Most cars now autolock above, say, 5mph. Apparently we can't trust our kids not to jump out at speed. Trust me, they would only do it once, and it would be really good for the gene pool.

SWMBO's Smart auto locks, but as there is no equivalent of the locking pin on the doors, you just pull the interior door handle to unlock. You can turn auto lock off if you want to.
