remove the pins, wrap insulation tape around the bottom part, re-fit.  Wink

The felt has worn away from the moulding around the pin, I tried tape, it didnt last, nor did half a piece of Velcro. Stuck down the side.

I tried bending the rod so it leans the pin back towards the widow a fraction and takes put the play. Only did it on the drivers door to see, but didn't quite bend it enough as it still rattles, it's better, but.... Work in progress this one for me.

Wondered if the plastic surround with the felt in is available separately? I know the door cards are no longer available new.

I've used black "electricians tape" on two cars with success  Thumbs Up! One option would be to change the pins to "older model".

Maybe i've got cheap electrical tape. With the action of the door pin, and I guess heat in the car, anything I've stuck on has fallen away.

Happens to me on occasions also.

How do you get the pins/buttons out exactly ?

Carefully prise out the red tab, with a very small screwdriver or similar. It moves outwards but does not fall off (always Grin), then the pin can be removed.

As said, I have succeeded with the tape, a few rounds usually does the job. Put it just below the red tab so it will not be visible. Put too much and it will peel off, just enough to stop it rattling.

They all rattle to some extent. Just lock the doors and no more rattle (or not as bad at least).

Thin foam household door draught excluder inside the plastic surrounds that the pins move through.

Our if it is thick, just on one side.

Worked on mine.

Maybe it is just me, but I dont like the idea of the doors being locked when driving.

What if your in an accident and can't be pulled out, coz your doors are locked Shocked

Isn't there something in place to unlock the doors in such a case? Linked to air bag maybe?

I would have thought so, although I must admit, I don't like driving around with the doors locked either Wink
