This may be a red Herring, but I had a similar problem (i.e a fast flicker) on my '99 3.0 which caused by the rear multiram connector not being plugged in correctly. Might be worth a try - especially if you have been fiddling around near the back of the plenum (as I was  Embarrassed )

That’s interesting... Mines been flashing for 2-3 years now. Never managed to sort mine out, so gave up.

I've got OPCOM, and that’s always reported errors with one of the multiram valves. However, I have tested it via OPCOM and they all worked fine. I have fitted several new multiram valves too - same again. I have seen them both working (revving engine while looking at them). I've even tried running the car on a different ECU (from a 2.5). When I first started it up, everything was fine, however once I took the car round the block and gave it a foot full, the EML came back on (although it didn't flicker with the 2.5 ecu) anyway, that confirmed that it wasn't the ecu at fault.

Strangely enough, when I 'chipped' the car, the EML went from flickering to constantly on. Still same error code though - relating to a problem with the multiram.

I now assume its a wiring fault on mine, just haven’t had the time to investigate. Undecided

LMF are utter rubbish - dont buy steering idlers from them! You've been warned!
