http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-OMEGA-2-6-CDX-AUTO-ESTATE-9700-mls-/220802213083?...

I asked about cam belt history, the reply was....

Hi Mike - cambelt and w/p have never been changed -
it has never been necessary - 9700 miles only.
Kind regards
Jon

9 years and 9700 miles, so its spent most of its life sitting around, that can't be a good for any of the mechanical parts on it.

Having had the "pleasure" of having one as a courtesy car recently, albeit a higher spec and an auto, I would never, ever wish one of these on anyone!

Bought a car some years back now from an old guy that was a friend of my dads he had it from new and was mega low miles,
God it was trouble as soon as i used it every day the wheel cylinders leaked the cam cover leaked it was a nightmare. i would rather have an ex reps car than one that has spent all its life in the garage and never having a good thrash now and then,

I saw this and had a proper laugh at the price. Some dealers just associate too much value to mileage without considering other more essential factors like servicing or cambelt changes etc. However I suppose if the car drives well and there are no major problems then buy it and change the cam belt straight away and you should be ok. Presuming nothing breaks on the test drive  Shocked .

However it too low a mileage for me personally. Just over a thousand miles a year cannot be good for any car unless it was stored in a heated garage and meticulously serviced/looked after.

And 7k for a CDX with no leather or any toys. All the best to the seller.
