BTW, I've found it makes access much better if you also remove the wiper motor mechanism - the least obvious, and most awkward bolt, is the one at the end of the groove in the wiper motor plate to the right of the passenger wiper-blade spindle.

You can just see this groove immediately above the red arrow in the photo below, you can get to the bolt with a 3/8 extension bar if you run the wipers momentarily to move the "link-bar" out of the way...

Update: New HBV fitted, about 45 mins with assistance. Now about to travel the 92 miles back to Bristol and hopefully all will now be well.

Wish I'd known about OOF before I paid for the timing-belt, water-pump, HT leads etc. etc!!!

Made the trip back to Bristol, drove around extensively for a couple of nights, and then another 92 miles back to Bagshot. No problems at all, reeeeeesult. Sorry Miss Kitty and your Go-Go-Pussy-Cat-Nympho'-Dolls, but OOF is now my favourite page! Thumbs Up!
