VIS Valves on the inlet manifold failed as early as 40,000 miles. They jingle like a barsteward on tickover. A quick google will tell if all 2.5's were affected. Should have been a recall judging by the amount that failed. The plastic butterfly bar fails.
My brother-in-law has the 190. Sounds very nice when gunned. His VIS Valves jingle but it doesn't appear to have affected the performance at all.
