...with Hirsch engine upgrade - 51000 miles 2008 plate. Price being discussed but around £6 to £7k.

This is for family member.

same engine as Signum I think - several of the Saabs use same parts as Vectra I think but charge a lot more for them.

Saab are part of the Scania group & have aeronautical connections although they nearly went bust recently.

  Generally well built & many die hard fans of the marque, one of the blokes at work swears by them & will drive nothing else.

  Dunno much myself really, ive only driven a 60's 96 2 sroke colunm change(a rally winner in it's day) & a 99 GL which i think had the Dolomite 1850 engine.

  Now as you say some are running VX engines...did Saab ever make an engine of thier own? Undecided

it was the scania mob that nearly took them down due to break fails on the trucks
