Sub framme bushes alignment
28. Aug 2011 at 12:49

When the maintenance guide talks of the solid part of the bush to the sides and slots to front and back – is this aligned/square to the car or the sub-frame arm (45 degrees to the car)?

The front of the bushes I’ve just removed pointed along the sub frame and so where at 45 degrees to the wheels.

Thanks

The guide needs updating, although Jimbob has added an amendment iirc. Re fit as the originals, so solid section in line with the dif/inline with the subframe as you say.

Thanks for reply though I’ve done it the other way now.  Embarrassed

My reasoning - if the sub frames arms were independent they would hinge in line with the arms but as they are linked, I assumed they would have to hinge in line with the car.  Undecided
