It dawned on me yesterday, I dont think I have filled the MV6 with petrol since before Christmas (when I brimmed it for weight over rear axle) Cheesy

My MV6, since November, has averaged 19.42mpg (by calculation, not by MID, which misreads with LPG by around 10-20%)

To quantify it a tad more ...

Over 30,000 miles (3 years) of LPG running, the cost per mile (estimated) on petrol would be 25.89 p/mile. The ACTUAL cost of running on LPG is 15.99 p/mile, a saving of 9.90 pence on every mile travelled. Over the distance the saving is currently £3586.81p, from that you have to discount the fitting cost.

The car has done a great deal of towing in that 30,000 ... a 1600Kg 'van out at leaset twice a month and to France every year, so it has worked hard. I'm presently averaging 17.92 mpg on LPG but if you look at it this way .... at 15.99 p/mile and petrol costs of 136.9 ltr (£6:21.5 a gallon) that is the equivalent of 38.87 mpg !!!!!!!

On a run, solo, it gets quite a bit better .. Smiley but these are average figures from a heavy user Smiley

HTH

LPG well worth the effort IF, and only IF, you intend to keep the car for a decent number of miles, the more miles you do, the more you save ... Smiley
