Locks

Hi, have a omega 2.2 CDX 02 plate and have a question about the lock set, if i want to replace the locks do i need just drivers door and ignition? The reason i am asking is that keys i have start car but will not open drivers door, have to use remote. Could i get the drivers door lock altered to use the keys i have and if so can an auto locksmith do it easily. If not what else will i need. Thanks in advance

Most likely reason is due to lack of use. Try lub'ing the lock.  Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

It's a good idea to know that the door lock works just incase your battery is too flat to open the car via the fob.  Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

You may need to soak the lock with wd40 or some other lubricant for several days to get it working...

Can you take the lock out from the door? Would be best to thoroughly soak it in cleaner, let it soak long enough, then dismantle the whole thing, clean and dry and the lube it. Quite a lot of work but only way to get it good again.
