Just getting some quotes on the Omega and wondering whos paying what and who with...?

3 easy to answer questions to keep the thread on the straight and narrow....

1. Who is your insurance with?
2. How much are you paying (Fully Comp policies only)
3. What NCB do you have?

Swift Cover keep coming up the best for me at £490, £250xs, Fully Comp, 10yrs NCB with my sister on there as named driver lol Thumbs Up!

My Elepant renewal just came through the door the other week. £340 for me and her and 28 year old daughter, FC, 19 years NCD protected, zero voluntary excess, all courtesy car etc etc etc.

As my Landy is with the NFU at what I consider a fair price, I went in there yesterday to get a quote for having both cars on one policy.

They wanted £1440 for the Omega on its own - like for like to hefelump - before then adding the landy.

As was said in time past in the old News of the Screws, this reporter then made his apologies and then left! Grin

Sep 2011 at 21:00 Bear in mind insurance quotes will vary on where you live. Mine went up almost £100 changing address from Chelmsford to Romford (Essex) as I was told its fraud when you dont supply your main address or where the car will be most of the time.

Privelige? Some privelige that is....You must be mad to sell the car when it would be simpler to change insurers and get a far lower quote and keep the car you obviously like.
It always pays to shop around each year and not just accept your insurers rollover renewal cos they all try to get as much as they can by depending on the laziness of the insured preventing them from shopping around.
Comes to it....Why are the prices so vastly different even for two owners with the same histories in the same street but insured with different companies? Surely the overheads of these insurers cannot be so vastly different when they all provide almost the same service?
They love to take your money but are reluctant to give any back....but thats life I suppose.. Cheesy

I say maybe as it hasn't reached the reserve yet and if it doesn't then I may just keep it and run it intil something major breaks as I am missing driving it Darren

Sep 2011 at 20:23 Just changed to Chaucer direct £410 fully comp 9 years ncb which is £350 cheaper than my renewal quote tpft from swinton and £100 cheaper than any other company who were all tpft as well. Also it was £8 cheaper than tpft got it £50 cheaper just cause I have acesses to another car wich I use once in a blue moon
