checked them all three times,   I dont know if this is significant  but it dont happen when the blower is on the setting for the front screen demister,  Every other setting except that one

iirc , front screen demist is the 'default setting' ie vacuum isnt needed to put the flaps in this position so loss of vacuum on acceleration wouldnt give any symptoms when in this setting.

Have you tried sucking on the various pipes to prove air-tightness as suggested?

Tried that pete ,  They all seem air tight,  Puzzling and doing my head in at the same time.
