fitted a new exhaust from the cats back on my 3.0 omega..so new exhaust from cats back, not including cats...cost £220...is it robbery or a fair price?

is the Exhaust GM? or Bosal?

I paid £220 cat back fitted for mine genuine GM vaux parts (trade discount), which do make a BIG difference in noise. Lot less noise from a GM zorst  Thumbs Up!

With TC and fitted yourself yes.

Walk into a dealer with a 2.2 and say fit cat back, looking at £350/400 at the cheapest. Some members have been quoted £500+ from dealers

i get the impression that vauxhall dealers are shooting themselves in the foot...

make the prices sensible, and encourage the employees to care...they would have a recipie to success...perhaps my view is too simplistic

first proper run in mine today...awful weather but rock steady, smooth performance..

mr mtek, here i come!

At £220 for all 3 parts, I'm guess pattern parts?  A few more £ would get genuine if you have access to trade club...

yes thats pattern part. Tbh next time its worth getting GM, noticeably quieter than pattern part. For about the same money if u get access to Trade Club

Will be pattern, and I assume that price included fitting?

That is not a bad price tbh. Thing is, with Trade Club, genuine parts which are frequently far better (hugely so in case of exhausts) cost around the same as pattern parts, or even cheaper.  If you had gone down the TC route, you would have had to bung a garage £20 or so to fit on the side (or change it yourself)...

I'm guessing you don't have a trade card - but next time you plan a major purhchase someone nearby may be able to help you out.  Undecided

As everyone said, i'm sure theres a trade card near you , that you could have access to ---- next time !

I fitted a VX exhaust on mine, and also new CAT too, but the CAT was a NON genuine part due to MASSIVE expence for this part alone !

Still CAT back was geniune parts, done on trade club, fitted by myself, and wasnt too bad at all !
A couple of hours and all done, mainly due to getting old exhaust off !!!! Thumbs Up!
