You need to remove the plastic trim where the seat belt goes into the side of the car.

The lower plastic bit just pulls straight off.

To remove the upper trim, first remove the alarm sensor, and then remove the screw which is behind that. There’s also two screws at the bottom of the trim too. You will need a torx bit to remove the screws.

You will be able to see the seatbelt mechanism then  Thumbs Up!

I’m guessing you then need to unbolt the seatbelt from the seat and car, should be easy. Go practice on a scrappy at the scrap yard!  Grin

BE CAREFULL if you start taking spring covers off.
I know that the big coil spring that retracts the front belt in a Cortina fills the rear foot well when it makes a bid for freedom ...... apparently!!! Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

Haha.. when me and a mate built a go-kart at school, the teacher asked him to remove a cover on the seatbelt... Which he did, however he removed the WORNG side! LMAO!! You should have seen his face! he just chucked it away from himself, jumped backwards, and looked like he had seen a ghost!!  Grin

Seriously though, them springs are like flying stanley knife blades!  Embarrassed
