hello  would anyone know if there is a way to wire my tom tom charger so i dont have to plug it into the ciggerette lighter cheers ajn

Its 5v from memory, to in reality you will have to wire it as now, but hiding it behind dash, and fitting a ciggy lighter behind dash as well

However, I would strongly recommend AGAINST permenently wiring portable satnavs, as its too much for a scotebag to resist...

yeah ive seen them my mate uses one it looks a bit clumsy he got meter wires,data head cables(taxi),speed detector wire,satnav & phone charger wire  I dont know how he can handle it all these cables and wires around him  Grin In mine all taxi cables are tucked away tidy but thanks for the reply  Thumbs Up!

If you are going to hardwire it... Make sure you hide all the wiring Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

I did it in a previous car for my Ipaq Phone and GPS receiver... The wires popped up by the windscreen and A pillar and were virtually invisible Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

Bought a wired twin socket, cut off the plug and connected to the back of the socket permanently Wink Wink
