Check all vac hoses, fluctuating idle indicative of air leak

To check for a vac leak, spray around the vac lines, plenum area etc LIGHTLY with carb cleaner, whilst the engine is running at idle.... if the engine note changes you have found the leak as the carb cleaner is sucked in and burned as unmetered fuel ... fix the leak .. repeat to check .. wipe down with paper towel ..... result .. fixed idle problem plus a nice clean engine   Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!
