derek89 Newbie Offline Posts: 11 new tredegar, south wales Gender: Drives: 1999 omega 2.0cdxi	idler control valve 12. May 2011 at 20:00 have cleaned valve but engine is fluctuating up to 2000 revs, any helpful ideas please

To check for a vac leak, spray around the vac lines, plenum area etc LIGHTLY with carb cleaner, whilst the engine is running at idle.... if the engine note changes you have found the leak as the carb cleaner is sucked in and burned as unmetered fuel ... fix the leak .. repeat to check .. wipe down with paper towel ..... result .. fixed idle problem plus a nice clean engine Thumbs Up!
