Trade Club versus Trade
16. Jul 2011 at 15:48

Hve been thinking about getting a Trade Club Card through Autobahnstormers. However at the moment I get trade price on all the bits and pieces I need for my Siggy and SWMBO's Corsa (and previously on my much missed f/l Mig Elite). I get trade prices because I have known one of the parts guys at the local Vx dealers for over 30 years and I always make sure I see him when I want something!!
Question is - do I really need the Trade Club card in view of the above. Are the prices for all items able to be  brought with it cheaper that the trade prices I can get?
Perhaps Andyc on the forum maybe the guy who can give a definitive answer on this one? TIA

I'm new to all this but as an example from the TC site:

Ac compressor:
3.2i 24v V6 - Y32SE       R1580001      Retail £356.00      Trade £320.79      Trade club £262.30

Even better on some stuff, like oil:

Longlife Super synthetic 5W30 dexos2 - SM/CF A3/B4/C3 GM-LL-A/B-026; 5 litres       93165557       £45.95       £39.06      £18.82

Trade Club is half the price of standard Trade!

Trade Club is cheaper (as said above) but only applies to a fairly narrow range of common parts.  Trade is a smaller discount but applies to everything.  So there is a good argument for having both.

TC also gives you access to their online price list - but it only covers parts that are included in the TC scheme.

No, frayed knot.   Sad

But AndyC does a good deal on a set of everything you need for the rocker cover job.  Probably the HBV too.

My dealers are very good ... on production of the ABS card I get full TC on TC items .. but trade price on non-TC items .. usually between 8-16%  discount  Smiley

I could have done with a  trade card recently. I went to Jnc600 in Bradford, cause the chap usually gives me stuff at trade price. Another bod served me this time, But I still thought I would get the good deal. So I got a pack of 4 bottles of oil for the Omega, and a pack for the Wife's Corsa and 3 oil filters.

120 Quid Cry Cry Cry

Its cheaper going to Halfrauds
