Aug 2011 at 09:47 Best I've ever managed from my 3.2 is 31.5mpg driving from Lake District to Devon at a steady 75-80. Shell fuelsaver petrol seems to improve the mpg by 2-3 mpg.

Went to welsh wales last December and averaged approx. 31mpg (on LPG) which I thought was superb. Omegas are pretty economical cars for their size if used for motorway work,but how many of us spend most of our time on motorways ?

MID reading or old school method?

Best I've got was 28mpg over course of 390 miles on a tank of LPG, doing old school way of filling, zero trip, filling. But with LPG pumps that not exactly accurate either!

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

Its quite accurate running on petrol, but LPG its just guessing, and is quite often a long way off.

ME..i do approx 180 miles to london ..approx 35-40 miles in london commuting to and from where i stay for 4 nights ..180 miles home..and then anything between 50-150 miles when home for my 4 days off...i only around 260 miles out of my first lot of 60 litres lpg as the 3a.m run to london is done at 85/90 only 20 mpg but at 62p/litre it's not too bad
