It wanders around at the back in a straight line if bush orientation is wrong.
More likely needs set up, and won't be fully sorted until the tyres are changed as the old springs will have had an effect on the way the current tyres have worn due to ride hight being too low and hence camber excessive.
Now the ride hight is higher the camber will most likely have altered leaving a smaller tyre contact patch and loss of grip.
Go steady, fix all your suspension and steering issues first, as you are doing, set up, as you say, then fit new tyres once your happy, baring in mind the old tyres will bare the scars if the previous set up.
